Originally from Ohio, I moved from Dallas to the SoCal area summer 04 to redirect my life academically and professionally. After 12 years in the medical field (that started with a 2 year stint in the USAF and getting kicked out for being gay), I am back in school full time to pursue degrees in organizational studies, public policy, and law. I loved my operating room job, but I felt that I was not realizing my true potential.  This new life path gives me a chance to help others by giving them a voice when they may not have yet found their own. Advocacy is something that I needed in earlier phases of my life, and I look forward to the day when I can meet that same need for someone else.
My strength is in writing and analysis. I love rhetorical analysis; I'm a collegiate debater. Combine that with a love of social/political issues, and law is a natural fit.
